Delete your CalmMoney account

You can permanently delete your CalmMoney account and its data at any time, using either method below. You do not need an active subscription to delete your account, but note that deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel first in App Store → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions.
Option 1 — In the app (instant)
- Open CalmMoney and go to Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Deletion takes effect immediately.
Option 2 — By email (if you can't access the app)
Email support.calmmoney@zihnova.com from the email address on your CalmMoney account with the subject line "Delete my account". We will verify the request belongs to you and complete the deletion within 30 days, confirming by reply.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identity (including at our authentication provider, Clerk).
- Your personal Budget Spaces and everything in them — transactions, budgets, goals, notes, recurring schedules.
- Your receipt photos.
- Your subscription record on our side (manage the subscription itself with Apple/Google).
- Any shared spaces you own — including content other members added to them. Their access ends permanently, so warn your group first.
What is retained
- Content you contributed to shared spaces owned by someone else stays in that space so the group's financial history remains intact, but it is permanently disassociated from your identity.
- Residual copies in encrypted backups expire on the backup rotation schedule (at most 30 days).
- Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. evidence of a deletion request), kept no longer than required.
Before you go
You can export your complete transaction history for free first: Settings → Data → Export Transactions (CSV).
